This past Saturday, December 1st, I participated in the Village Holiday Bazaar at DuPont Hadley Middle School in Old Hickory, TN. My mom attended with me to help out! Not only did we get some great Christmas gifts from other vendors, we made $175 for our adoption fund. My wonderful friends, Lisa Herman, Elizabeth Peden, Heather Hotmer, Jennifer Allen Smith, and Mandy Gabers baked cookies and goodies to sell at our table. They were all a hit!!! Jason and I stayed up till 2 AM the night before making gift baskets with our cookbook and baking goodies. Needless to say...we are basket making experts! I also baked some muffins, pumpkin bread and banana bread.
Since the Holiday Bazaar we sold two more baskets, more cookbooks, and received a donation! Praise God!
Right now I am offering Christmas Gift Wrapping for a donation to our adoption fund! I have the boxes, paper, ribbon, and tape....ready for the wrapping to begin.
This Friday, December 7th, Lisa Herman is having an Open House featuring Thirty-One, Pampered Chef and Origami Owl vendors. A portion of the product sales from Pampered Chef and Origami Owl will go towards our adoption fund to bring Melanie home from China! Lisa is an awesome friend!!!!
Please continue to pray for our little Melanie in China! We do not who she is...but God does. Pray for her safety and needs to be met. Please also pray for our adoption process. We are waiting to be matched with our little girl!
